Monday August 25th
So we are off. Were making our way across Washington. It was a heck of a time getting all our stuff into the truck but we did it. The cats are miserable in the back of the car but they are much more comfortable there then in there small cramped kennels. Right now e are climbing up toward Snoqualmie pass. I am super excited for our new venture. Hopefully it's not to foggy up at the mountains.
Well we made it to the east side. It's funny how automatically you can tell the difference. I mean living here you know which cities are on the east side but you know you are here as soon as you see the brown fields, sage brush, and there are hardly any trees. It's hard to write because the road is so bumpy.
Regular Gas- Ellensburg- $4.01
So we are now in Ellensburg and found out that when we backed our truck down our street that we hit the truck and trailer and split the wires so none of our lights on the trailer worked the whole way here. Now we are eating a snack and waiting for the penske people to come see whats wrong with it and hopefully they bring another trailer with them and we can load the car and get our show back on the road.
So the repair guy came by and pretty much told us we messed the thing up royally. So he is going to go back to his shop and call the penske people to see what our next step is. Ugh...Ellensburg sucks :(
So we got a call from the Penske people. We have to wait for a new trailer to com from Kent...ugh. So now we won't be leaving here for hours. I really hope this is the most dramatic thing all trip.
So we went inside while waiting for the new trailer to have a bite to eat. (Which I already have heartburn from) and guess what kind of soup they were serving???????? Freaking...Cabbage patch!!!!! I seriously only thought we served it at the club but apparently they serve it at the flying J in Ellensburg. Oh I really need some entertainment...lol. :)
We are on the road again. We won't make it to Missoula till after midnight but we both napped and rested so we should be fin. I am glad to be on the road again the flying J in Ellensburg is not the hippest hangout.
Regular Gas- Spokane- $3.97
So I am writing this Tuesday morning because we didn't get to Missoula until 3:30am. The mountains were rainy and bumpy and it was dark. It was not fun. But we have gotten a few hours of sleep and can't wait to relax this evening with some of my relatives in Wyoming. We've made it over the roughest part of the terrain so it should be smooth sailing from here.
I will add photos later when I have more time. :)

Keep blogging. Am enjoying the read. Looking forward to your safe arrival here in the midwest. Word of advice: watch out for water buffalo and, as my grandpappy always said, don't take any wooden nickles.
Great pictures. I like the road sign for Ritzville. Hope the rest of the trip goes a smoothly as yesterday.
Looking forward to helping you with settling in CF.
